About the Event

The Data Science Professional Development Day brings together UNT Data Science students, alumni, faculty, and industry partners for student presentations, professional development, and employer networking. Students will have the opportunity to showcase their work and connect with employers about internships, full-time positions, and career opportunities.

Schedule

11:00 AM-12:00 PM - Student Poster Presentations

Current Data Science students will present research posters, projects, and programs showcasing their work. Posters will remain on display for the duration of the event.

12:00 PM-2:00 PM - Employer Networking

Students and alumni can meet with participating employers to learn about organizations, internships, full-time positions, and career opportunities.

12:00 PM-2:00 PM - Professional Development Resources

Students may also visit the professional development booth for assistance with mock interviews, resumes, and other career preparation.

Student Poster Presentations

Current Data Science students are invited to showcase a research poster, project, or program. Presenters must be available from 11:00 AM-12:00 PM to present and discuss their work with employers and other event attendees. Posters must remain on display through 2:00 PM.

The only registration button on the webpage should be for students applying to present a poster or project. No general event registration button is needed.

Prepare for the Event

  • Professional attire is recommended.
  • Bring multiple copies of your resume.
  • Review participating employers before the event.
  • Students must check in with Data Science representatives before participating.
